ST-IT Stirling, Distillery and Saint Andrews - Italian Tour Guide

    Stirling

We will head to Stirling to visit the Castle (optional), one of the most historically important sites in Scotland, from which we will also catch a glimpse of the Wallace Monument, a 67 mt high tower standing on the summit of Abbey Craig, where the wars of Independence were fought and won. For those who do not fancy seeing the Castle from inside, there is also the option to take a stroll along the compact heritage mile of Stirling, which links the Old Town with the modern city, where we can experience a fascinating journey back in time.

    Distillery

The tour will stop at a distillery where we will able to discover the secrets of the whisky production, from its fermentation to the ageing process. At the end of the tour, we will also have the opportunity to sample Scotland's most traditional drink.

    St. Andrews

Our journey continues towards the North Sea coast to visit Saint Andrews where we will have lunch (not included). There will be a short panoramic tour of the town before enjoying an extended stop (around 2 hours) during which we will see the impressive ruins of the castle ruins and of the abbey along with the golf course and the beach which served as the set for the opening scene in the famous movie Chariots of Fire.

We will then make our way to the Firth of Forth and before arriving in Edinburgh, we will stop at South Queensferry where we will get to see the Forth Bridge, which was nominated as a UNESCO world heritage site of Scotland.

The Scottish climate can be cold even in summer, with the possibility of rain at any time. We therefore recommend that you dress with this in mind.

By participating in our excursions in Scotland there is always time for a walk in the woods or on the shores of a lake, or on a hill, so we suggest you to wear comfortable and appropriate shoes.
