Embark on an adventure from Trosachs Pier through fabulous scenery on the banks of Loch Katrine, inspiration of Victorian Romantic poet Sir Walter Scott. The 28-mile (44km) route takes the virtually traffic-free private lochside road to Brenachoile point (used as a location in Outlander) and onwards to Stronachlachar, with spectacular views up and down the loch. This wild country was home to Rob Roy MacGregor, Scotland's own Robin Hood folk hero, and is steeped in Clan history. A cafe stop at Stronachlachar is a must (not included). We return by the same route.
